WARD!: "We had changed as a band both in number of members and in musical stylings. Todd, John and I decided it was time to get out of Zion for good. We packed up and moved to Los Angeles. While looking for gigs we talked to the manager of "Madam Wong's on Santa Monica Blvd. He asked us what the name of the band was and when we told him "The Urge" he said, 'Which Urge'? I know of seven different bands in L.A. named 'The Urge' and another one called 'The Ergs'....'. We looked at each other and knew we needed a new name, something that would be so different we would be remembered. That's when we came up with 'The Reptilian Space Dogs' also known as 'The Space Dogs'."
